Award winning artist Ray Mosser's fascination with racing and classic cars led him to doing illustrations for brochures and auto publications. Expanding his interests to include landscapes, still life and figure paintings he took classes at UC Berkeley and with Cyril Gardner in Philadelphia and Anthony Holdsworth in San Francisco.
While living in California he was represented by Wine Country Motorsports at Sonoma Raceway; consequently, most of his commissions have been of racing and high-performance cars.
His paintings were exclusively chosen to decorate the walls of the Ferrari dealership in San Francisco for its grand opening. His art has also been featured at winery hospitality events in Sonoma, and several events in Connecticut.
His influences include artists ranging from the Old Masters through the Impressionist and Abstract Expressionists. Since moving to Woodbury, CT he continues to work in a variety of styles, motifs and mediums. Recently his paintings were exhibited for an entire month in a one-man show at the Woodbury Library gallery.
He is represented by Studio Hill Gallery in Woodbury.
